About Us
Meet The Owner!

Hello! I'm Michelle, owner and operator of Coastal Pet Sitters! I have dreamed of having a pet sitting company since I started pet sitting at the age of 8 years old for neighbors and friends. I continued to explore my passion for animals by volunteering at a veterinarian office before I was old enough to work. Through high school, I volunteered at the Helen Woodward Animal shelter and spent many hours feeding penguins at Sea World. I worked at various pet stores though college until I earned my BS degree in Marketing. Eventually I grew bored with the everyday struggle of the corporate world and started pet sitting again in 2004. I have personally charished several dogs and cats in my life, fresh and salt water fish, koi ponds, rabbits, hamsters, rats, birds and a lizard.
Coastal Pet Sitters mission is to offer pet owners with an alternative to boarding their beloved animals that provides the pet and owner with a sitter whose main focus is the health, happiness and well-being of your pet. If it's not good for your pet, we won't offer it in our services.

Our Team!
At Coastal Pet Sitters, we strive to offer the best quality pet care services in northern San Diego county. You can be sure that each member of our team offers the same high quality care that you would expect for your pet(s).
To provide you and your pet(s) with highly trusted and experienced pet sitters, each interview consists of working under the direct supervision of owner Michelle Stuman, who personally hand picks sitters based on knowledge and experience in pet care.
Along with background screening and reference checks, all our sitters are covered under the Coastal Pet Sitters liability and bonding policies.
